In 2019, Telford & Wrekin Council declared a climate emergency. It is now working, along with partners, to go carbon neutral by 2030 – and to reduce single-use plastic across the council by 2023!

Do you want to help Borough residents to start talking about Climate Change and Sustainability and to take action?

We are looking for volunteers to be Telford and Wrekin’s first Climate Change Champions, individuals who will be willing to help the Council in a variety of ways to engage Borough residents on Climate Change and Sustainability within their own communities, schools and groups.

You don't need to be a Climate Change and Sustainability expert - we want to hear from residents from all walks of life who love talking to people and want to support climate protection projects.  You can help us support a green recovery, encourage others to speak up and make change.

Take a look at our Champions case studies - everyday people, working together to take action on climate change - could this be you?
